HOW YOU CAN HELP
Now that our Board of Directors has reversed its decision to sell Camp Arrowhead, we need your help getting camp up and running again! We’ll also be planning and fundraising for future upgrades to the property and facilities.
WE NEED CAMPERS!
Campers can register now on the council website. Please encourage any girls you know who are aged 7-17 to consider Camp Arrowhead! Openings are also available for Sals and Pals (girls attending camp with a female adult) and troop camping.
DONATIONS
We reached our initial goal of $83,000, which will cover operational expenses through May 2008 as well as the cost of withdrawing from the auction of the property. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Your future donations (and donations from friends, family, and business contacts) are still greatly needed. Additional donations will help cover continued expenses until the camp begins generating revenue, and help pay for needed repairs and improvements. The main immediate needs are to replace a refrigerator and freezer in the lodge ($6000), install guard rails for portions of the road ($18,000), and repair the water tank ($11,000) for a total of $35,000, but we do have other short and long term items on the agenda (see projected property needs from our business plan).

MASQUERADE BALL AND AUCTION
We’re now planning the first-ever Juliette Low Masquerade Ball and Auction for Camp Arrowhead, which will be held in October (to coincide with Daisy’s birthday). Volunteers are needed to help make this a successful fundraiser! Please email gsarrowhead@yahoo.com if you can help or if you have an item or service you would like to donate.
SPEAKER TEAM
We need volunteers who are willing to go to troop or VISTA meetings to tell people about Camp Arrowhead and how they can use it – what facilities are available, what activities you can do there, etc. Training will be provided.
